No business or company is eternal. Neither the Facebook nor even the Google!

Facebook has been an amazing platform for gaining traffic. Facebook ads have gained customers to innumerable business round the globe. Thus, the obvious question that I would like to ask myself is; Can I grow my business or website without Facebook?

This question becomes more valuable when your recently launched website is blocked on Fb (for any reason) and, there is no help coming out from Facebook.

When I launched my website “NxtDecade”, where I motivate and help budding entrepreneur to dream, plan and launch startups; I faced the same experience with Facebook.

My website was blocked (it still is) and even after so many trails to resolve this, I failed to get my domain back there.

Facebook was over for NxtDecade.

And, therefore I began building my authority at other social media (which were in surplus), to compensate Facebook. The common social media where I was growing include;

  1. Quora (+ Quora Space)
  2. Twitter
  3. LinkedIn
  4. Pinterest
  5. Tumbler
  6. Reddit
  7. Medium
  8. YouTube

I was missing Facebook traffic, but even after the block I was growing. Pinterest was performing excellent. I was more focused on SEO and quality of content because I was not getting easy traffic from Facebook.

I still felt limited, so I turned my way towards guest posting. Guest posting provides me do-follow links as well as traffic.

I was actually growing my website (in the real sense, as Google wants me to do) without Facebook.

Although I built my website page “Startup Goal” on Facebook, but link sharing was yet blocked. So, I began building my audience without burdening them with my link.

After going through several Facebook group, I also discovered how website beginners approach to their traffic growth.

There were tons of “visit for visit” link sharing in practice. Take it as a warning; with this deadly bad practice, you would be harming your website.

Thankfully, I was not into that business and therefore my website was growing. But, even with all that, I was losing a lot of traffic from Facebook.

I decided to update the concept of visit for visit to a new concept.

I build a Facebook group on the same “visit for visit” model but with KEYWORDS.

Join the Facebook group: Join Group

It was much better concept than over link sharing. In this group, we share keywords for which the content or blog is ranking. Members can visit using the keywords, comment or share screenshot about the visit and read.

Further, we also share, follow and promote other’s social media. Which grows other platforms as well.

So, where there is a will, there is a way.

Finally, if you have any plan for starting a startup, make a visit on my website. If you are confuse between job and startup, take a read on “whether to go for job or startup”. Or search the keyword “Startup vs job Nxtdecade”
